On Site Support Services (OSSS) was formed in 2009 as a result of strong demand from Clients seeking Professional advice and assistance;

To improve facilities and efficiencies in their existing Support Services.
To oversee the development of Community groups to manage the Support Services.
To mobilize and manage the Support Services on their Camps / Facilities.

Founder and Managing Director, John Honan (BA Hospitality Management), brings to OSSS 25 years of practical hands on managerial experience within the Support Services Industry, working directly with Mining companies throughout Asia, Africa and the Pacific, develop and employing Best Practices to ensure that Mining personnel enjoy the highest level of comfort whilst working and living on remote sites.

The strategic deployment of local participation and capability development opportunities arising from Mining and Remote development, directed to strengthen the sustainability, relevance and political visibility of Community investment programs.

Promoting Local businesses

Bridging the gap between Mining Camp supply requirements in line with local economy (ie. Construction raw materials, retail outlets using modular containers, transport and food supply)
Identify sourcing opportunities by local and national businesses.
Training solutions for community suppliers and sub-contractors related to camp supply

Hiring and Training of Local staff

Develop specific vocational training related to services/job categories, in-house or in partnership with training institutes.
Define Manpower and job categories in line with project phases, mobilization, construction and production.
Site Management Induction training, related to code of conduct, hygiene & safety, cultural awareness.
